Marie Jacquemin Lepalec is a French visual artist and art historian. After obtaining her master’s in Brussels in 2020, she settled in her hometown, Paris. Among the teachers who influenced her work, we count Norma Trosman, Sarah Jérôme, and Arnaud Gallizia.
Drawing mainly from a live model, Marie explores intimate subjects such as awareness of oneself and others. She thus attempts to capture the facets of a fluid collective identity thanks to an experimental approach, both graphic and technical, which led her to combine two activities that create links, drawing and sewing within an aesthetic that mixes abstraction and figuration.
Since May 2023, Marie has been a resident at Openbach (Vincennes) and regularly participates in group exhibitions.
